| Filing 4 ENTRY OF JUDGMENT. (JMK) [Entered: 04/14/2026 10:45 AM] |
Filing 3
ORDER filed : We lack jurisdiction over this appeal. An order transferring an action from one district court to another is not a final or appealable order. Miller v. Toyota Motor Corp., 554 F.3d 653, 655 (6th Cir. 2009). Even if the order were appealable, Hawkinss notice of appeal is late. 28 U.S.C. 2107(a); Fed. R. App. P. 4(a)(1)(A). The statutory requirement that the notice of appeal be filed within 30 days after the entry of a judgment is a mandatory jurisdictional prerequisite that this court may not waive. Hamer v. Neighborhood Hous. Servs. of Chi., 583 U.S. 17, 20 (2017); Bowles v. Russell, 551 U.S. 205, 214 (2007). We therefore DISMISS this appeal. No mandate to issue, decision not for publication. R. Guy Cole, Jr., Amul R. Thapar and Joan L. Larsen, Circuit Judges. (JMK) [Entered: 04/14/2026 10:41 AM]
