June 5, 2020 Opinion or Order Filing 3 ORDER: In the present case, plaintiff relies on diversity of citizenship for federal jurisdiction. However, appellant Robert Shockley, Jr.s Circuit Rule 3(c) docketing statement fails to identify his state of citizenship. Appellant must provide this information. It is insufficient, for purposes of diversity jurisdiction, to disclose his residency or the residency of the other defendants; citizenship matters, not residency. Further, Circuit Rule 3(c)(1), referencing Circuit Rule 28(a), requires an appellant to file a docketing statement which provides information concerning appellate jurisdiction. In the present case, appellants Circuit Rule 3(c) docketing statement fails to set forth (1) the date on which the Rule 58 judgment was entered, (2) the date the motion to reconsider was filed (and whether it is claimed to toll the time to appeal), and (3) the date the notice of appeal was filed. Appellant must provide this information, too. Accordingly, appellant shall file a complete statement of jurisdiction that includes all the omitted information. The statement is due on or before June 12, 2020. DW [3] [7085513] [20-1938] (AD) [Entered: 06/05/2020 04:05 PM]
