Filing 7
ORDER: The following is before the court: LETTER, filed on July 8, 2020, by the pro se appellant. To the extent that the appellant seeks an extension of time to file a request for a certificate of appealability, IT IS ORDERED that the motion is GRANTED. Any separate request for a certificate of appealability is due by August 19, 2020. In the event that the appellant does not file a motion by that date, his notice of appeal previously docketed in this court will be deemed to constitute an application for a certificate of appealability. See Fed. R. App. P. 22(b)(2). To the extent that the appellant would like to electronically file documents from prison, IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the motion is DENIED. This court is not yet using the Prisoner E-Service filing program. Finally, the appellant is reminded that the district court no longer transmits the record on appeal to this court. Because the record is electronic, it is available for this court's use without the need for transmission of a physical record. This court will have electronic access to the complete record on appeal when it considers the merits of this appeal. The appellant is further reminded that, pursuant to Circuit Rule 10(a)(3), he must ensure that all electronic and non-electronic documents necessary for review on appeal are on the district court docket. If the appellant would like to correct or supplement the record on appeal, he should make that request in the district court. See Circuit Rule 10(b). This courts review is generally limited to information that was presented to the district court. CMD [7] [7092467] [20-1943] (ER) [Entered: 07/09/2020 04:13 PM]
