Date Filed Document Text
August 20, 2020 Opinion or Order Filing 6 ORDER: Before the court is a letter, filed on August 18, 2020, by the pro se appellant. A review of the court's docket indicates that this appeal is subject to the Prison Litigation Reform Act and therefore all proceedings will remain suspended until the appellant's fee status has been resolved. See Newlin v. Helman, 123 F.3d 429, 434 (7th Cir. 1997). On July 16, 2020, the district court denied the appellants motion for leave to proceed on appeal in forma pauperis. On August 18, 2020, the appellant renewed his motion for leave to proceed on appeal in forma pauperis with this court. The motion, however, is incomplete because it does not include a PLRA memorandum in support. (See the court's PLRA fee notice and order dated July 17, 2020.) Accordingly, the appellant file his PLRA memorandum by September 11, 2020. In his memorandum, the appellant should explain why he believes the district courts denial of leave to appeal in forma pauperis was erroneous. Failure to comply with this order may result in the dismissal of this appeal. Further, to the extent that the appellant seeks recruitment of counsel in the letter, the request is DENIED without court action, in accordance with the PLRA Fee Notice and Order dated July 17, 2020.
