ORDER re: Request Emergency Appeal Stay Order. John Gilbert appeals from the district courts order, issued on October 27, 2020, denying his motion for injunctive relief, denying his request to stay his deadline to respond to the defendants motion to dismiss, and informing him that the courts Pro Bono Coordinator has been unable to find pro bono counsel to represent him. Although Gilbert filed three notices of appeal (one for each motion that was denied) only one appeal is necessary. Accordingly, appeal nos. 20-3391 and 20-3392 are administratively CLOSED. No appellate filing fees for appeal nos. 20-3391 and 20-3392 shall be imposed. Further, the appellants request for a stay is DENIED because it unclear what relief he seeks. To the extent that he is asking to stay his deadlines to respond to the defendants motions to dismiss, he must ask for that relief in the district court. And to the extent that he is asking this court to enter injunctive relief pending appeal, he must explain what specific relief he is asking for, and show that he is likely to succeed on the merits of his appeal, that he is likely to suffer irreparable harm in the absence of preliminary relief, that the balance of equities tips in his favor, and that an injunction is in the public interest. See Winter v. Nat. Res. Def. Council, Inc., 555 U.S. 7, 20 (2008). Finally, the appellant is reminded to pay the appellate filing fees or file motion to proceed in forma pauperis in appeal no. 20-3390 by January 8, 2021. Ilana Diamond Rovner, Circuit Judge.
