September 17, 2021 Opinion or Order Filing 8 ORDER re: Motion for extension. This appeal is subject to the Prison Litigation Reform Act and therefore all proceedings are suspended pending the assessment and payment of any necessary fees. See Newlin v. Helman, 123 F.3d 429, 434 (7th Cir. 1997). A review of the docket indicates that on September 10, 2021, the district court granted the appellant's motion for leave to proceed on appeal in forma pauperis and assessed a $17.99 initial partial filing fee. Because the appellant has not yet paid the initial partial filing fee, this court has not set a briefing schedule. Accordingly, to the extent that the appellant seeks an extension of time to file his opening brief, IT IS ORDERED that the motion is DENIED without court action, pursuant to the fee notice and order dated August 17, 2021. The appellant is reminded that he must pay the initial partial filing fee by October 1, 2021, and must file a docketing statement in this court by October 15, 2021.
