However, appellants Circuit Rule 3(c) docketing statement fails to identify the state of citizenship of the decedent. Appellant must provide this information. See 28 U.S.C. 1332(c)(2). It is insufficient to state that the decedent was a resident of New York. Citizenship matters, not residency. See Meyerson v. Harrahs East Chicago Casino, 299 F3d 616, 167617 (7th Cir. 2012) (residency and citizenship are not synonyms).
