ORDER: The appellant seeks to appeal an order of the district court dismissing the case for lack of personal jurisdiction over the defendants. But the appellants motion for reconsideration was denied in the district court on July 14, 2020. The notice of appeal was not filed until nearly three years later, on July 10, 2023. Because the appeal appeared to be untimely, this court ordered the appellant to file a memorandum addressing jurisdiction. The appellants memorandum does not address the untimeliness of this appeal. The district court has not granted an extension of the appeal period, and this court is not empowered to do so. See Fed. Rs. App. P. 4(a)(5), 26(b).
