ORDER: The court, on its own motion, orders appellant to show cause for his failure to respond to the court's order of August 15, 2024. Appellant shall file his response on or before September 20, 2024. Appellant is advised that failure to respond to this order may result in the dismissal of this appeal. The clerk of this court shall attach a copy of the August 15, 2024, order to appellant's copy of this order. To the extent appellants August 26, 2024, letter is intended to be a response, it does not adequately address the jurisdictional issue this court identified in the August 15, 2024, order. The district court struck docket entry 34, which was a notice sent from this court mistakenly docketed as appellants notice of appeal. This appeal, however, was created in response to appellants document titled Interlocutory Appeal, docket entry 32, not the stricken notice, and so the district courts order has no effect on this appeal. If appellant does not want to proceed with the appeal he brought, then he should file a motion for voluntary dismissal under Rule 42(b) of the Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure.
