| Filing 10 Filed district court order dated 12/26/2024, on September 30, 2022, the court granted the defendants' motion for summary judgment and dismissed the prisoner civil rights complaint filed by plaintiff Michael Nieman, finding that he failed to exhaust administrative remedies as required before filing suit. On October 2, 2024, the court denied plaintiff's letter-request to reopen the case, treating it as a motion for reconsideration. Plaintiff has filed a notice of appeal from that order. He has also filed a motion for an extension of time to pay for transcripts, which he appears to request at government expense. Because plaintiff does not explain why any particular transcript is needed for his appeal, his motion for transcripts at government expense is DENIED. In addition, plaintiff has filed a motion for an extension of time to seek leave to proceed on appeal without prepayment of fees. The motion is GRANTED, in part. ORDER re: Motion for extension of time for fee payment/in forma pauperis motion, filed on 11/25/2024. This appeal is subject to the Prison Litigation Reform Act and therefore all proceedings are suspended pending the assessment and payment of any necessary fees. See Newlin v. Helman, 123 F.3d 429, 434 (7th Cir. 1997). A review of the docket indicates that the appellant's fee status has not yet been determined. Specifically, on November 25, 2024, the district court extended the deadline for the appellant to either pay the $605.00 appellate filing fees or submit a certified trust fund account statement in the district court to December 16, 2024. Accordingly, to the extent that the appellant seeks an extension of time to comply with Circuit Rule 3(b), that request will be filed without further court action. To the extent that the appellant seeks an extension of time to comply with his other deadlines, the appellants overdue Circuit Rule 3(c) docketing statement and any transcript information sheet shall be filed by December 26, 2024. The clerk will send the appellant a transcript information sheet form and a copy of this courts instructions for preparing a docketing statement so the appellant may familiarize himself with the information that must be included in a Circuit Rule 3(c) docketing statement. In his docketing statement, the appellant should attempt to provide the information listed in the Pro Se Instructions, particularly the date of the judgment or order being challenged in this appeal.
