ORDER re: Letter regarding notice of case opening and deadlines, filed on 4/2/2025. A review of the courts docket shows that on March 27, 2025, the clerk received the appellants docketing statement and accepted it for filing. Accordingly, to the extent that the appellant seeks an extension of time, the request is DENIED as unnecessary. Appellants motion for leave to proceed on appeal in forma pauperis remains pending in the district court. To the extent that the appellant seeks to have the record on appeal transmitted, the appellant is reminded that the district court no longer transmits the record on appeal to this court. Because the record is electronic, it is available for this courts use without the need for transmission of a physical record. Should this appeal proceed to briefing, the court will have electronic access to the complete record on appeal when it considers the merits of this appeal. Further, this court does not participate in the Prisoners Electronic Filing Program. The clerk will send the appellant a copy of the courts public docket. ORDER The district court entered judgment in this case on February 14, 2025. The appellant mistakenly sent his notice of appeal to this court, which forwarded it to the district court, and appeal no. 25-1436 was opened. The appellant, after he realized his mistake, filed another notice of appeal in the district court on March 21 and a second appeal, 25-1477, was opened. Both filings seek to challenge the same district court judgment, and two separate appeals are not necessary. Accordingly, appeal no. 25-1477 is administratively CLOSED. No appellate filing fees for appeal no. 25-1477 shall be imposed. Proceedings in appeal no. 25-1436 remain suspended pending the district courts resolution of the appellants motion to proceed in forma pauperis.
