A review of the docket in appeal no. 24-2173 shows that the appeal stems from district court case no. 24 C 727 where the district court summarily dismissed Girtlers petition for a writ of habeas corpus. Appeal no. 25-2846 stems from district court case no. 24 C 1556 where the district court dismissed Girtlers civil rights complaint. Girtlers appeals are from separate underlying district court cases, and a docketing statement is required for each appeal. Further, appeal no. 25-2846 is subject to the Prison Litigation Reform Act and therefore all proceedings are suspended pending the assessment and payment of any necessary fees. See Newlin v.
