ORDER re: 1. Application to appeal in forma pauperis. 2. Memorandum in support of PLRA motion to proceed on appeal in forma pauperis. 3. Addendum. 4. Trust fund account statement. 5. Letter for the record. [ # 5 ]. This court has carefully reviewed the record on appeal, the district courts order denying appellant Michael Swiger leave to appeal in forma pauperis, and Swigers motions papers. This court has jurisdiction over final orders from the district court. See 28 U.S.C. 1291. Although the district court entered judgment dismissing the case on November 26, 2025, the court vacated that judgment and reopened the case on December 9 after receiving Swigers notice of change of address. And despite the district court not taking any action since the initial partial fee was paid, it made clear in its order denying leave to appeal in forma pauperis that it was not done with the case, and it has not yet entered a new final judgment. The district courts denial of Swigers request for screening and direction to comply with its earlier order is not an appealable order. See Barnes v. Black, 544 F.3d 807, 810 (7th Cir. 2008). Further, the district court did not certify any question of law for interlocutory appeal as required by 28 U.S.C. 1292(b), and there is no other basis for this courts jurisdiction. Accordingly, the motion for leave to proceed on appeal in forma pauperis is DENIED, and this appeal is DISMISSED for lack of jurisdiction. This dismissal does not relieve the appellant of the obligation to pay the filing and docketing fees for this appeal. Campbell v. Clarke, 481 F.3d 967, 970 (7th Cir. 2007); Newlin v. Helman, 123 F.3d 429, 433 (7th Cir. 1997). The clerk of the district court shall collect the appellate fees from the prisoner's trust fund account using the mechanism of Section 1915(b).
