ORDER Re: Motion to Strike Notice of Appeal. On March 17, 2026, this court received a document from appellant Aaron Stewart that captioned appeal no. 24-1171, which stems from district court case no. 08 C 2232. The mandate in appeal no. 24-1171 issued on November 10, 2025, and the appeal remains closed. The document also captioned district court case nos. 13 C 1374 or 13 C 112. Because appeal no. 24-1171 is closed and the appellants document appeared to be challenging the district courts order dated January 29, 2026, in district court case no. 13 C 1374, the document was forwarded to the district court to be treated as a notice of appeal. Appellant Aaron Stewart now asks this court to strike appeal no. 26-1535. If the appellant does not wish to proceed with this appeal, he may file a motion to voluntarily dismiss pursuant to Federal Rule of Appellate Procedure 42(b). Any such motion is due by April 30, 2026. If the appellant does wish to proceed with this appeal he must file his Circuit Rule 3(c) docketing statement, and either pay the $605.00 appellate filing fees or file a motion for leave to proceed on appeal in forma pauperis in the district court by April 30, 2026. Failure to do so may result in the dismissal of this appeal. To the extent that appellant is seeking any relief in appeal no. 24-1171, the court will take no action on the request because the case is closed. The clerk will send the appellant a copy of the courts public docket for appeal no. 24-1171. Sent Certified Mail. Receipt Number: 9589 0710 5270 1810 9587 93.
