| Filing 2 Filed clerk order (Deputy Clerk: AC): This appeal challenges the district courts December 27, 2022 denial of appellants motion for preliminary injunction. A review of the district court docket reflects that the district court has now dismissed appellants claims and entered judgment. This court has explained that it is pointless for us to decide what preliminary relief [a plaintiff] should have obtained after the underlying claims have been dismissed. See SEC v. Mount Vernon Meml Park, 664 F.2d 1358, 1361 (9th Cir. 1982) (dismissing an appeal from an order denying a motion for preliminary injunction following the district courts dismissal and entry of final judgment). Accordingly, within 21 days after the date of this order, appellants shall move for voluntary dismissal of this appeal or show cause why it should not be dismissed in light of the district courts entry of final judgment. If appellants elect to show cause, a response may be filed within 10 days after service of the memorandum. If appellants do not comply with this order, the Clerk may dismiss this appeal pursuant to Ninth Circuit Rule 42-1.
