CHRISTEN The application to file a second or successive 28 U.S.C. 2254 habeas petition in the district court seeks to challenge the applicants 1987 Los Angeles County conviction for sodomy. The applicant has completed his sentence and is no longer in custody on that conviction. We therefore do not consider the application because relief under 2254 is unavailable. See Maleng v. Cook, 490 U.S. 488, 491-92 (1989) (per curiam); see also 28 U.S.C. 2254(a) (requiring that petitioner be in custody). Any pending motions are denied as moot.
