February 2, 2026 Opinion or Order Filing 5 ORDER FILED. Lisa B. Fitzgerald, Appellate Commissioner. Derrick Johnson has filed a habeas petition that challenges Johnsons criminal proceedings in San Diego County Superior Court case no. SCD310890. When a habeas petition is filed in the court of appeals, the application must be transferred to the appropriate district court. Fed. R. App. P. 22(a); see 28 U.S.C. 1631, 2241(b). The clerk will transfer the petition and motion to proceed in forma pauperis at Docket Entry Nos. 1 and 4, respectively, to the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, for whatever consideration that court deems appropriate.
