Filing 16 MINUTE ORDER re filing protocols. In the future, agreed-upon requests for extensions of time must be filed as motions, rather than stipulations. This is in accordance with the district court's Local Rules (D.C.COLO.LR 6.1) and Section I.F of Judge Kane's pretrial procedures memorandum (available on the court's website under Judicial Officers at www.cod.uscourts.gov). A motion for extension of time should be supported by an appropriate certificate of compliance with Local Rule 7.1(a), and indicate, in its title, that it is "Unopposed," if that is the case. Whether opposed or unopposed, the motion must include a showing of good cause for the requested change, stated with particularity. This protocol recognizes that briefing schedules are within the purview of the court, not the parties, to grant or deny, and that the only extensions effective upon stipulation of the parties only are those covered by Local Rule 6.1(a). Future "Stipulations" for extensions of briefing schedules or any other due dates set by order of Judge Kane (except by Local Rule 6.1(a)) will be STRICKEN. The RESPONSE to #13 is due on or before August 12, 2019. Ordered by Judge John L. Kane on 7/29/2019. Text Only Entry (jlksec) |
