MINUTE ORDER: This action is before the court on the Unopposed Motion for Extension of Time to File an Answer or Other Response to the Complaint ("Motion") #14 . In the Motion, Defendant JFD Property, LLC ("Defendant") requests that it not be required to respond to the Complaint [Doc. 1] at this time, and instead "that it be provided an extension of time to answer or otherwise respond to the Amended Complaint upon the Courts Order accepting the Amended Complaint..." [Doc. 14 at 2]. However, Defendant does not request an extension for particular amount of time. Moreover, as Defendant acknowledges, under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 15, "[u]nless the court orders otherwise, any required response to an amended pleading must be made within the time remaining to respond to the original pleading or within 14 days after service of the amended pleading, whichever is later." Fed. R. Civ. P. 15(a)(3). Thus, pursuant to Rule 15, Defendant will have 14 days from the date Plaintiff files of a clean copy of the First Amended Complaint to file its response to the same.
