October 20, 2022 Opinion or Order Filing 26 MINUTE ORDER: This matter is before the Court on the #24 Plaintiff's Motion Requesting Permission to Amend Original Complaint With an Extension of Time. As an initial matter, although Plaintiff states that she conferred with opposing counsel before filing the Motion, Plaintiff does not state whether, or to what extent, Defendants oppose the particular relief sought. The Tenth Circuit has cautioned that pro se litigants "must follow the same rules of procedure that govern other litigants." Green v. Dorrell, 969 F.2d 915, 917 (10th Cir. 1992). The Local Rules of Practice for the District of Colorado require all parties to confer on motions and other disputes before a motion is filed and to "describe in the motion... the specific efforts to fulfill this duty." D.C.COLO.LCivR 7.1(a). The Court reminds Plaintiff of the duty to confer, and cautions that any future motions filed without conferring may result in the denial of those motions. Defendants SHALL file a response to the #24 Plaintiff's Motion Requesting Permission to Amend Original Complaint With an Extension of Time, on or before November 10, 2022.
