March 20, 2024 Opinion or Order Filing 11 MINUTE ORDER: This matter is before the Court on a review of the docket. On February 26, 2024, Defendant Greenwood Cabinets & Stone, Inc. purported to file a pro se Answer. See [Doc. 7]. However, it is well established that corporate entities cannot appear pro se in federal court. See, e.g., Tal v. Hogan, 453 F.3d 1244, 1254 (10th Cir. 2006) ("It has been our long-standing rule that a corporation must be represented by an attorney to appear in federal court."); Harrison v. Wahatoyas, L.L.C., 253 F.3d 552, 556 (10th Cir.2001) ("As a general matter, a corporation or other business entity can only appear in court through an attorney and not through a non-attorney corporate officer appearing pro se."). Accordingly, Defendant's pro se Answer is STRICKEN. It is ORDERED that Defendant's deadline to answer or otherwise respond to the #1 Complaint, through counsel, is sua sponte extended to 4/10/2024. It is further ORDERED that the Clerk of Court shall send a copy of this Minute Order to: Greenwood Cabinets & Stone, Inc., 6905 South Broadway #51, Littleton, CO 80122. However, Defendant is expressly advised that the Court will not continue to direct filings to Defendant's place of business and again reminds Defendant that it may not appear in federal court without an attorney.
