ORDER DENYING MOTION FOR EXPEDITED BRIEFING AND SETTING STATUS CONFERENCE by Magistrate Judge Susan Prose on 9/18/2024. Plaintiffs filed suit on September 11, 2024, and contemporaneously filed a #2 Motion for Preliminary Injunction and #3 Motion for Discovery that sought expedited discovery and briefing. Specifically, Plaintiffs have asked the court to set an expedited briefing schedule for the Motion for Discovery and to require Defendants to file a response within 10 days of being served. Two of the three Defendants were served on September 12, 2024. ECF Nos. 10, 11. The court does not find that expedited briefing is warranted at this time and denies in part the #3 Motion for Discovery. Defendants who have been served will have 21 days from the date that they were served Plaintiffs' Motion to file a response. Still, Plaintiffs' request for expedited discovery remains. To help facilitate the timely resolution of that request, the court will hold a telephonic status conference on October 8, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., in Courtroom C-205, on the second floor of the Byron G.
