April 3, 2026 Filing 17 CERTIFICATE of Service by Clerk of Court re: Service of Process of #7 Amended Complaint (Attachments: #1 U.S. Marshal Service Form, #2 U.S. Marshal Service Form) (agryan)
April 3, 2026 Opinion or Order Filing 16 ORDER. Plaintiffs proceed pro se in this action and as such the Court will express this Order in terms similar to a pro se summary. Plaintiffs purport to present federal claims under 42 U.S.C. 1983 and the Fourteenth Amendment. But, the only actors discussed are non-governmental, e.g., a private individual and an LLC. And Plaintiffs have not alleged any sort of discrimination or other governmental action. It is entirely unclear to the Court how this Court would have subject matter jurisdiction over this case. Stating that a claim falls under a federal statute does not make it so and Plaintiffs must establish jurisdiction. Therefore, within thirty (30) days, Plaintiffs SHALL SHOW CAUSE why this matter should not be dismissed for lack of jurisdiction. SO ORDERED by District Judge Gordon P Gallagher on 04/03/2026. Text Only Entry. For all non-e-filer pro se parties, a copy of this document has been sent via U.S. Mail to the mailing address of record. (agryan)
April 3, 2026 Opinion or Order Filing 15 ORDER REFERRING CASE to the assigned United States Magistrate Judge Maritza Dominguez Braswell. Pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 636(b)(1)(A) and (B) and Fed. R. Civ. P. 72(a) and (b), this case is referred to the assigned United States Magistrate Judge to (1) convene a scheduling conference under Fed. R. Civ. P. 16(b) and enter a scheduling order meeting the requirements of D.C.COLO.LCivR 16.2, (2) conduct such status conferences and issue such orders necessary for compliance with the scheduling order, including amendments or modifications of the scheduling order upon a showing of good cause, (3) hear and determine pretrial matters, including discovery and other specifically-referred motions, and (4) conduct hearings, including evidentiary hearings, and submit proposed findings of fact and recommendations for rulings on dispositive motions. Court sponsored alternative dispute resolution is governed by D.C.COLO.LCivR 16.6. On the recommendation or informal request of the magistrate judge or on the request of the parties by motion, this court may direct the parties to engage in an early neutral evaluation, a settlement conference, or another alternative dispute resolution proceeding. SO ORDERED by District Judge Gordon P Gallagher on 04/03/2026. Text Only Entry. For all non-e-filer pro se parties, a copy of this document has been sent via U.S. Mail to the mailing address of record. (agryan)
