ORDER by Magistrate Judge Timothy P O'Hara on 8/21/2026. Respondent is ORDERED to show cause within seven (7) days from the date of this Order why the Petition [ECF #1 ] should not be granted. Within twenty-one (21) days of Respondent's answer to this Order to Show Cause, Petitioner may file a reply. In the Parties' briefing, the Parties shall provide any available information that may assist in resolving Petitioner's legal challenges to his current detention, including details concerning Petitioners current immigration proceedings, such as whether Petitioner is subject to final order of removal, the statutory basis for and circumstances surrounding Petitioners current detention, and any records of the procedures afforded to Petitioner in relation to his current detention. Within seven (7) days form the date of this Order the parties shall complete and file the Election Concerning Consent/Non-Consent to United States Magistrate Judge Jurisdiction form [ECF #4 ], indicating either the unanimous consent of the parties or that consent has been declined.
