ORDER: The #29 motion for a more definite statement is DENIED as moot.The case may proceed on the excessive force claims under the Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution and Article First, 7 and 9 of the Connecticut Constitution against Mathias and Richter in their individual capacities for damages. The case may also proceed on the Fourteenth Amendment deliberate indifference to medical needs claim and negligence claim against AMR for damages. All other claims are dismissed. The Clerk is directed to terminate the City of Hartford, James Rovella, and the HFD as defendants to this action.Discovery, according to Fed. R. Civ. P. 26-37, shall be completed by October 25, 2019. Discovery requests need not be filed with the Court.All motions for summary judgment shall be filed by November 29, 2019.According to Local Civil Rule 7(a), a nonmoving party must respond to a dispositive motion within twenty-one (21) days of the date the motion was filed. If no response is filed, or the response is not timely, the dispositive motion can be granted absent objection.If the plaintiff changes his address at any time during the litigation of this case, Local Court Rule 83.1(c)2 provides that he MUST notify the court. Failure to do so can result in the dismissal of the case. The plaintiff must give notice of a new address even if he is incarcerated. The plaintiff should write PLEASE NOTE MY NEW ADDRESS on the notice. It is not enough to just put the new address on a letter without indicating that it is a new address. If the plaintiff has more than one pending case, he should indicate all of the case numbers in the notification of change of address. Because the amendment does not change the allegations against Defendant AMR Ambulance, which has filed a #15 motion to dismiss, the plaintiff must still respond to the motion to dismiss or risk its being granted without a response. See D. Conn. L. Civ. R. 7(a)2. The plaintiff's response is due, under the rules, by November 1. Nonetheless, the Court will unilaterally grant the plaintiff a two-week extension - until November 15, 2018 - to file a response to the #15 motion to dismiss.
