ORDER RE REPRESENTATION OF COMPANY DEFENDANTS. Defendant Richard Bruno is advised that as a non -attorney he may not represent his co -defendants Domco LLC and Domco II LLC. A natural person who is not an attorney may not represent a corporate defendant in federal court proceedings. A corporate defendant must be represented by an attorney. See Jones v. Niagara Frontier Transp. Auth., 722 F.2d 20, 22 (2d Cir. 1983). Accordingly, Mr. Bruno may not file a motion to dismiss or other pleadings on behalf of co-defendants Domco LLC and Domco II LLC. If Mr. Bruno wishes to protect the interests of those companies in this litigation, he should promptly retain counsel to represent them. Otherwise, the Court is likely to grant default judgment on motion against the company defendants if counsel does not appear on their behalf to represent them. It is so ordered. ORDER GRANTING IN PART MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE RULE 26(f) REPORT (Doc. #11). The Court GRANTS in part the motion for extension of time to file a Rule 26(f) report until May 3, 2019. If plaintiff has validly served the company defendants Domco LLC and Domco LLC and if for lack of counsel the company defendants have not timely filed a valid answer or other response to the complaint, then plaintiff should move for default entry pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 55(a). In the absence of any indication that there will be an appearance by counsel on behalf of the company defendants, the Court otherwise declines plaintiff's request that it postpone the filing of a Rule 26(f) report until 30 days after such counsel may appear.
