Filing 6 ORDER granting #2 Motion for Leave to Proceed in forma pauperis. Plaintiff has filed a motion seeking to proceed without payment of fees and costs, which includes a sworn statement as to plaintiff's current financial circumstances. See Doc. #2 -1. Plaintiff asserts that he "has been working sporadically as a culinary consultant[,]" and "earned about $1,000 total between Sept. [and] Dec. 2020." Id. at 5. Plaintiff's "wife is the primary financial provider for the household[,]" id., and has a gross annual income of $48,000. See id. at 3. Although plaintiff and his wife have $4,000 in cash on hand, see id. at 4, the family's monthly expenses exceed plaintiff's wife's gross monthly income by $2,823.00. See id. at 3-4. At this stage, such allegations are sufficient to establish that plaintiff is unable to pay the ordinary filing fees required by the Court. 28 U.S.C. 1915(a)(1).
