ORDER RE DEFENDANT'S FAILURE TO ANSWER OR TIMELY RESPOND TO COMPLAINT. According to the record before the Court, plaintiff has filed and served a complaint, but defendant Middletown Motorcars, LLC has failed to file an answer or other response within the time limits permitted under the rules. Accordingly, given defendant's failure to file an answer, the Court directs plaintiff to move for entry of a default pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 55(a) on or before 21 days from now. See City of New York v. Mickalas Pawn Shop, LLC, 645 F.3d 113, 128 (2d Cir. 2011). Failure to do so will result in the Court dismissing the case for failure to prosecute. See D. Conn. L. Civ. R. 41(a). In the event that defendant chooses in the interim to file an answer or other response to the complaint, defendant shall file a motion for extension of time nunc pro tunc stating why there is good cause for defendant's failure to comply with the Court's scheduling requirements.
