Filing 15 GENERAL SCHEDULING ORDER. The court thanks the parties for resubmitting their Rule 26(f) Planning Report, see ECF No. #14 , and hereby APPROVES and ADOPTS all deadlines and procedures proposed therein. All discovery shall be completed on or before April 15, 2023, and all interim discovery deadlines are hereby incorporated by reference. Any motions for summary judgment shall be filed on or before April 30, 2023. The parties' joint trial memorandum shall be filed on or before June 15, 2023, or within 60 days of the court's ruling on dispositive motions, whichever date is later. The court will thereafter set a jury selection date, and the parties should be prepared to proceed to trial on December 1, 2023. Signed by Judge Omar A. Williams on 6/9/22. (Wagner, Rebecca) |
Filing 14 Second REPORT of Rule 26(f) Planning Meeting. (Lyons, Thomas) |
Filing 13 ORDER. The court thanks the parties for submitting their Rule 26(f) Planning Report, see ECF No. #11 , but cannot adopt the deadlines proposed therein because they are internally inconsistent. For example, they propose to have discovery completed by April 15, 2023, but they propose to submit motions for summary judgment by January 30, 2023, several months before discovery will have ended. They also propose to submit their joint trial memorandum 60 days after the close of discovery, which would be June 14, 2023, or 60 days after the court rules on any dispositive motions which, per the parties' proposed deadlines, could be as early as May 2023. And they assert that the case could be ready for trial by May 1, 2023, but that is before their proposed deadline for the joint trial memorandum. Accordingly, the court instructs the parties, on or before June 10, 2022 to resubmit the report. It is so ordered. Signed by Judge Omar A. Williams on 6/6/22. (Wagner, Rebecca) |
