ORDER RE DEFENDANT'S FAILURE TO ANSWER OR TIMELY RESPOND TO COMPLAINT. According to the record before the Court, Plaintiff filed and served a complaint prior to Defendant's removal of this action to federal court, but Defendant has failed to file an answer or other response within the time limits permitted under the rules. See Fed. R. Civ. P. 81(c)(2). The Court has already once extended this deadline. ECF No. 12. Accordingly, given Defendant's failure to timely file an answer or other response to the complaint, the Court directs Plaintiff to move for entry of a default against Defendant pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 55(a) on or before June 21, 2022. Failure to do so will result in the Court dismissing the case for failure to prosecute. See D. Conn. L. Civ. R. 41(a). In the event that Defendant chooses in the interim to file an answer or other response to the complaint, Defendant shall also file a motion for extension of time nunc pro tunc stating why there is good cause for its failure to comply with the scheduling requirements of the Court and the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
