ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE WHY CASE SHOULD NOT BE TRANSFERRED. This lawsuit by a plaintiff citizen of New York against the defendant United States of America concerns a car accident that occurred in New York. It is unclear to the Court why this case was not filed in New York rather than Connecticut. The only apparent connection to Connecticut is that one of the drivers (who is not a party) is a citizen of Connecticut and that the plaintiff's lawyer is from Connecticut. The parties are requested to file a response to this order to show cause on or before February 17, 2023 stating whether there are proper grounds for this case to remain in the District of Connecticut and whether the Court should transfer this case to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 1404(a).
