July 18, 2023 Opinion or Order Filing 19 ORDER denying without prejudice #18 Motion for Extension of Time. Local Rule 7(b), in pertinent part, provides: "All motions for extension of time shall be filed at least three (3) business days before the deadline sought to be extended, except in cases in which compelling circumstances warranting an extension arise during the three days before the deadline. Any motion for extension of time filed fewer than three business days before the deadline sought to be extended shall, in addition to satisfying all other requirements of this Rule, set forth reasons why the motion was not filed at least three business days before the deadline in question." Although Plaintiff filed her motion for an extension of time one day before the deadline she seeks to extend, she has failed to set forth the reasons why the motion was not timely filed. Plaintiff's motion also fails to comply with Local Rule 7(b)'s requirement that a movant state how many requests for an extension of the deadline in question the movant has previously sought. Accordingly, Plaintiff's motion is denied without prejudice to refiling in compliance with Local Rule 7(b). Signed by Judge Sarala V. Nagala on 07/18/2023. (Kuegler, Adam)
