ORDER RE DEFENDANTS' FAILURE TO ANSWER OR TIMELY RESPOND TO COMPLAINT. According to the record before the Court, plaintiff has filed and served a complaint, but defendants have failed to file an answer or other response within the time limits permitted under the rules. Accordingly, given defendants' failure to file an answer, the Court directs plaintiff to move for entry of a default pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 55(a) on or before 21 days from now. See City of New York v. Mickalis Pawn Shop, LLC, 645 F.3d 114, 128 (2d Cir. 2011). Failure to do so will result in the Court dismissing the case for failure to prosecute. See D. Conn. L. Civ. R. 41(a). In the event that defendants choose in the interim to file an answer or other response to the complaint, defendants shall file a motion for extension of time nunc pro tunc stating why there is good cause for defendants' failure to comply with the Court's scheduling requirements.
