March 6, 2024 Opinion or Order Filing 43 ORDER granting #42 Motion to Stay Proceedings. The Court hereby stays the proceedings for 90 days, until June 4, 2024, or until the execution of a final settlement agreement between the parties, whichever is earlier. All case deadlines, including those related to the pending motion to dismiss, ECF No. 38, are suspended, and the hearing scheduled for tomorrow regarding Plaintiff's motion for preliminary injunction is cancelled. If a final settlement has not been executed by June 4, 2024, then on that date the parties shall file either (a) a motion to continue the stay, if they report that settlement discussions remain productive, or (b) a motion to lift the stay, if they report that further settlement discussions would not be productive. Additionally, either party may file a motion to lift the stay at any time prior to the deadline. If a motion to lift the stay is filed, the parties shall report on the status of Plaintiff's request for a preliminary injunction, including whether a hearing on such motion is necessary. The Court will promptly set a deadline for Plaintiff to respond to Defendant Gwendolyn Williams's motion to dismiss if a motion to lift the stay is granted. Signed by Judge Sarala V. Nagala on 3/6/2024. (Hagemann, E)
