ORDER. In light of the Rule 26(f) report filed on April 15, 2024, the Court orders the following: - Plaintiffs shall participate in a Rule 26(f) conference by April 26, 2024;- Defendants shall submit a revised joint Rule 26(f) report by May 3, 2024. Any failure to participate in a Rule 26(f) conference by the date set forth above, unless that deadline is otherwise extended by the Court, may constitute a failure to comply with a court order, and may allow Defendants to "move to dismiss the action or any claim against it." Fed. R. Civ. P. 41(b). In any event, while the Court wishes the parties to propose a scheduling order, formal discovery will not begin until the Court resolves the pending motion to dismiss. See Dietz v. Bouldin, 579 U.S. 40, 47 (2016) ("[D]istrict courts have the inherent authority to manage their dockets and courtrooms with a view toward the efficient and expedient resolution of cases.").
