May 22, 2020 Opinion or Order Filing 4 ORAL ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE: Plaintiff's Complaint appears to request immediate injunctive relief. That request, however, does not comport with Local Rule7.1.2, which provides in pertinent part: "Unless otherwise ordered, all requests for relief shall be presented to the Court by motion." Additionally, the affidavit of Plaintiff's counsel does not meet the requirements of Rule 65(b)(1)(B) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, stating simply that time is short and "giving notice would be fruitless" rather than explaining why notice should not be required. Therefore, on or before June 5, 2020, Plaintiff shall show cause why he should not be required to file a motion with supporting brief (with case law that supports his arguments of likelihood of success on the merits and irreparable harm) and to serve all papers on Defendant. Alternatively, on or before June 5, 2020, Plaintiff may file such motion with such supporting papers and serve them on Defendant. ORDERED by Judge Maryellen Noreika on 5/22/2020. (dlw)
