August 20, 2025 Opinion or Order Filing 24 ***WITHDRAWN*** REPORT AND RECOMMENDATION (MINUTE ORDER) by Magistrate Judge Gerald L. Jackson: In light of Attorney Richard Long's continued failure to comply with this Court's Orders (ECF Registration letter mailed 6/5/25 & Docket No. (23)), the undersigned Magistrate Judge finds Mr. Long is not eligible to represent Plaintiffs Mark Hunter Long, Sydney Long, and Mark Hunter Long as father and next friend of E.V.L., a minor. The undersigned Magistrate Judge therefore recommends that Mr. Long's purported representation of these parties should be terminated in this case. Mr. Long should be permitted to continue representing himself as a pro se party. The undersigned Magistrate Judge further recommends Mr. Long be instructed to (1) provide the Court with all Plaintiffs' last known addresses; (2) serve a copy of this Minute Order and any Order adopting and affirming it upon Plaintiffs within fourteen days of entry of the Order; and (3) file a certificate reflecting such service within seven (7) days of such service. All Plaintiffs shall (i) either retain alternative counsel and have that counsel file an entry of appearance, OR (ii) file a statement indicating that he or she will be representing himself or herself on a pro se basis in this action on a date to be specified by the District Judge. In the case of the minor Plaintiff, he or she must retain alternative counsel and have that counsel file an entry of appearance, as pro se representation is not permitted under these circumstances.
