October 29, 2018 Opinion or Order Filing 30 TEXT ORDER denying #28 Pro Se Motion for Continuance of Hearing or Trial. Defendant Jean Lopez's pro se motion is vague as to which proceeding Defendant asks the Court to continue. Trial has not been set and the only hearing currently scheduled in this matter is the Preliminary Pretrial Conference to be held on 11/27/2018 at 11:00 AM. (See Doc. 14 ). Therefore, the Court construes Defendant's motion as a request to continue the Preliminary Pretrial Conference, and the Court hereby denies that request. To the extent Defendant's motion may be construed to seek any other relief, such other relief is also denied. The Court gleans from the motion that Defendant Lopez has been properly served with the summons and the Complaint. If Defendant has been served, Defendant Lopez must appear in-person at the November 27, 2018 Preliminary Pretrial Conference and must participate in the preparation of the Case Management Report to be filed no later than 11/19/2018. Lastly, because Defendant Lopez's home address is protected against disclosure (See Docs. #21 , 22 ), all parties in this case -- including Defendant Lopez -- are hereby granted leave and affirmatively required to redact Defendant Lopez's home address information from all future filings. This requirement applies equally to any filings made by or on behalf of Defendant Lopez. Moreover, unless Defendant Lopez obtains counsel who enters a general appearance of record on his behalf before the Case Management Report is filed, Defendant Lopez shall designate in the Case Management Report a non-residential mailing address to be used for purposes of service in this litigation going forward. To ensure that Defendant Lopez receives a copy of this Order, the Clerk of Court is hereby directed to mail a copy of this Order to Defendant Lopez's previously supplied home address without divulging that information in the public record.
