ENDORSED ORDER. On 10/29/2022, Rayvon Boatman--a resident of the Florida Civil Commitment Center--mailed the Court an affidavit addressed to "Honorable Magistrate Judge." (Doc. #1). The affidavit is not a complaint and thus cannot commence a civil action. See Fed. R. Civ. P. 3. Also, Boatman wrote on the face of the affidavit that he does not intend to commence a new action. Thus, the Clerk is DIRECTED to close this case. If Boatman wants to commence an action, he must file a complaint. He "may not use a letter, email, or the like to request relief[.]" M.D. Fla.
