ENDORSED ORDER: Plaintiff Priscilla Reed has filed service documents showing that she served the United States of America by serving the United States Attorney at 400 North Tampa Street, Suite 3200, Tampa, FL 33602. (Doc. #8). However, to properly serve the United States, a plaintiff must serve the summons and complaint on the United States Attorney for the district where the action is brought as well as send a copy of each by registered or certified to the Attorney General in Washington, D.C. Fed. R. Civ. P. 4(i)(1). While the docket shows that Reed has served the United States Attorney, she has not filed proof that she sent a copy of the summons and complaint to the Attorney General of the United States. Accordingly, Reed is directed to provide additional information showing that she has properly effected service in accordance with Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 4(i)(1) by January 20, 2021.
