ENDORSED ORDER re: #10 Plaintiff's Motion for Special Admission Pro Hac Vice of Michael J. Palumbo. Local Rule 2.01(c) prohibits the special admission of an attorney who has "abused the privilege of special admission by maintaining a regular practice of law in Florida." M.D. Fla. R. 2.01(c)(3). Although the Local Rules do not specify what constitutes the "regular practice of law," the Florida Bar defines a "general practice" in Florida as making "more than [three] appearances within a 365-day period in separate representations." Fla. Bar. Rule 1-3.10; see also Fla. Rule Jud. Admin. 2.510 (same). It seems from the instant motion that Mr. Palumbo has appeared in at least five separate matters in Florida federal courts in the last year and that his special admission in this action would thus violate Local Rule 2.01(c). For this reason and because Mr. Palumbo provides no case law or legal authority to buttress his request for special admission in this case, Plaintiff's motion is denied.
