Filing 16 SUPPLEMENT re #8 Answer to Complaint by Susan A. Voshelle. (SRC) |
Filing 15 ENDORSED ORDER: Because she previously filed an answer (Doc. #8), Defendant Susan A. Voshelle's motion to dismiss (Doc. #8) is denied as moot. Defendants Victoria A. Hudnall and George E. Heck Jr. are directed to file answers on or before July 31, 2023. The answers should comply with the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and Local Rules, including Fed. R. Civ. P. 8 (when responding to pleading, party must admit or deny the allegations and state any defenses, including affirmative defenses) and Fed. R. Civ. P. 11 (every pleading, written motion, or other paper must be signed by a party personally if the party is unrepresented). Defendants are advised that even pro se all parties must conform with procedural rules, including the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and the Local Rules of the Middle District of Florida. Litigation - particularly in federal court - is difficult, and Defendants should consider hiring an attorney. If they are unable to afford counsel, they should consider the resources available to pro se litigants, including the Legal Information Program operated by the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, and the Middle District of Florida's guide to assist pro se litigants proceeding in federal court, which is located on the Court's website. The Court will dispense with the requirement to file a formal case management report at this time. The parties are directed to conduct discovery, and the discovery deadline is set as January 17, 2024. A case management conference has been set for January 17, 2024, at 2:30 p.m., in Courtroom 14A of the Sam Gibbons Courthouse; all parties are required to appear in person. Signed by Judge Thomas P. Barber on 7/19/2023. (ANL) |
