Date Filed Document Text
February 16, 2024 Opinion or Order Filing 8 ENDORSED ORDER: On February 15, 2024, Plaintiff Evanthony R. Norman filed a "response" to the Court's January 10, 2024, Order. See (Docs. 4; #7). In his "response," Plaintiff seeks affirmative relief from the Court - namely, he appears to request the admission of unspecified evidence or exhibits. Any request seeking affirmative relief should be made in the form of a motion, which must comply with the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and Local Rules of this Court. The Court notes that under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 36, a request for admission is made to another party, and not to the Court. Plaintiff is advised that even pro se plaintiffs must conform with procedural rules, including the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and the Local Rules of the Middle District of Florida. Litigation - particularly in federal court - is difficult, and Plaintiff should consider hiring an attorney. If he is unable to afford counsel, he should consider the resources available to pro se litigants, including the Legal Information Program operated by the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, and the Middle District of Florida's guide to assist pro se litigants proceeding in federal court, which is located on the Court's website. Signed by Judge Thomas P. Barber on 2/16/2024. (ANL)

The CMR must be filed (1) within forty days after any defendant appears in an action originating in this court, (2) within forty days after the docketing of an action removed or transferred to this court, or (3) within seventy days after service on the United States attorney in an action against the United States, its agencies or employees.
