ENDORSED ORDER: The factual allegations of this complaint include only the following: "The defendant created a hostile working environment." (Doc. #1). The complaint then concludes that the defendant should be held liable for damages. On its face, the complaint's three paragraphs are "patently frivolous." See Vega v. Kahle, No. 23-12065, 2025 WL 3540349, at *5 (11th Cir. Dec. 10, 2025) (citing Surtain v. Hamlin Terrace Found., 789 F.3d 1239, 1248 (11th Cir. 2015)). The complaint fails to "affirmatively allege" any "facts demonstrating" that this Court has subject-matter jurisdiction. See Taylor v. Appleton, 30 F.3d 1365, 1367 (11th Cir. 1994). Nothing in the complaint "allege[s] facts demonstrating" an "injury in fact" to the plaintiff "that is fairly tracible to the challenged conduct of the defendant[s]" to establish Article III standing. See Spokeo, Inc. v. Robins, 578 U.S. 330, 338 (2016). The complaint also violates Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 8 because its single allegation is too "conclusory and vague" to provide the defendants with sufficient notice to form a responsive pleading and never attempts to connect the indeterminate single factual allegation to "any particular cause of action." See Weiland v. Palm Beach Cnty. Sheriff's Off., 792 F.3d 1313, 1322 (11th Cir. 2015). Accordingly, the complaint is DISMISSED without prejudice under this Court's inherent power to dismiss a patently frivolous complaint. See Surtain, 789 F.3d at 1248. The Clerk is directed to ENTER JUDGMENT, which shall read, "This case is dismissed without prejudice." The Clerk is further directed to TERMINATE all deadlines, pending motions, and hearings, and to CLOSE this case. Signed by Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle on 8/19/2026. (DRD)
