Date Filed Document Text
July 17, 2023 Opinion or Order Filing 11 SCHEDULING AND MEDIATION ORDER. By 7/31/2023, the plaintiff must file a succinct, numbered list of each action that the plaintiff asserts constituted an adverse employment action. By 8/14/2023, the defendant must file basic succinct, numbered list of its reasons for the alleged adverse actions. But the defendant need not list reasons already listed in the 26(f) report for the termination of the plaintiff's employment. The trial is set for the two week period that begins on Monday, 6/3/2024 08:15 AM in U.S. Courthouse Tallahassee before JUDGE ROBERT L HINKLE. The discovery deadline is 2/29/2024. The deadline for summary-judgment motions is 21 days (3/21/2024) after the discovery deadline, but they should be filed at the earliest appropriate time. It is rarely necessary that such motions await the completion of all discovery. The deadline to mediate is 5/1/2024. The mediator or a party must file a report within 14 days (5/15/2024) after mediation ends indicating when mediation occurred and the outcome (that is, whether the case was settled or impasse was declared). An attorney for each party must, within 14 days (7/31/2023) after the date of this order, consult with the party about the advantages (including savings of costs and attorney's fees) and disadvantages of proceeding with mediation immediately rather than awaiting the deadline set in this order. Case referred to mediation. Signed by JUDGE ROBERT L HINKLE on 7/16/2023. (rcb)
