The parties must participate in an appraisal under the terms of the insurance policy at issue or as otherwise agreed. All proceedings are stayed until the appraisal is completed or until otherwise ordered. A status report must be filed (a) by the last day of each March, June, September, and December while the stay remains in effect, beginning with June 2021, and (b) within 21 days after the appraisal process is completed. The responsibility to file a status report rests on both sides. But if one party has filed a required status report, the other party does not need to file an additional status report.
