PAPERLESS ORDER re #8 Order in Actions Brought Under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Instructions for Setting a Settlement Conference. The District Court has entered an Order (DE #8 ) referring the case to me for a settlement conference. Accordingly, counsel for the parties are ORDERED to meet and confer to determine possible dates on which to conduct the settlement conference. Prior to the due date for Defendants' response ("Response") to Plaintiffs' Statement of Claim ("SOC"), which Response is expected to be due no later than June 7, 2021 (because the SOC is due to be filed by May 24, 2021), Plaintiffs' counsel shall email my chambers at strauss@flsd.uscourts.gov with no fewer than three dates of availability (on a Monday, Wednesday, or Friday) ("Dates of Availability") on which the parties and their counsel are available for the settlement conference. The Dates of Availability shall be at least three weeks out from the date that Plaintiffs' counsel submits the dates. Following the submission of proposed dates, I will enter an order setting the settlement conference. Plaintiffs' counsel shall promptly serve a copy of this Order upon counsel for Defendants once an appearance has been made and shall promptly file a notice of compliance thereafter., ( Miscellaneous Deadline 6/7/2021.)
