Filing 11
PAPERLESS ORDER Striking designation of [5, 6] Plaintiff's Motions for Injunction as "emergency motions." Though docketed as emergency "motions," neither filing appears to be a motion. Neither filing purports to seek relief through an order of the Court, but, instead, each purports to be an injunction. To the extent Plaintiff intended the filings to operate as motions, they would constitute an improper use of emergency filing procedures under the Local Rules. S.D. Fla. L.R. 7.1(d)(1). Under the Local Rules, the filer of an emergency motion "must set forth in detail the nature of the emergency, the date by which a ruling is necessary, and the reason the ruling is needed by the stated date," and must properly certify that the matter is a true emergency. Plaintiff's filings, (ECF Nos. 5, 6), do not satisfy these requirements, and their emergency designation is therefore STRICKEN. The unwarranted designation of a motion as an emergency motion may result in sanctions. Signed by Magistrate Judge Lauren Fleischer Louis on 10/13/2025. (wwn)
