July 24, 2026 Opinion or Order Filing 8 PAPERLESS ORDER SETTING DEADLINE TO FILE DISMISSAL DOCUMENTS. The Parties have notified the Court that they have settled the case. (DE 7)). The Court congratulates the Parties on reaching an amicable resolution of this matter. Because this case was amicably resolved at an early stage, I will give the Parties 21 days, or until August 14, 2026, to file appropriate closing documents. After that time the case will be set for trial and put on a litigation schedule. Moreover, the Parties are advised that the Notice of Settlement does not stay ongoing litigation, and until closing documents are filed, the Court expects compliance with all pretrial deadlines. However, I note that Plaintiff's response to Defendant's motion to compel (DE 5) and motion to dismiss (DE 6) are due July 24, 2026. In view of the pending settlement, and so as to avoid unnecessary litigation costs, I will extend that deadline only to August 14, 2026. Should the Parties be unable to finalize the settlement as planned, that shall not constitute good cause to further extend this filing deadline. Signed by Judge Donald M. Middlebrooks (ml00)
