October 2, 2018 Opinion or Order Filing 8 PAPERLESS ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE. Defendant removed this case from state court to this Court on August 8, 2018. With its notice of removal, Defendant filed a copy of the motion to dismiss and supporting memorandum it had filed in state court. See [1-3 at 37]. Local Rule 7.2 provides that if a motion and supporting memorandum are pending in state court at the time of removal, "any party opposing the motion shall file [a memorandum in opposition to the motion] within fourteen (14) days after the filing of the notice of removal[.]" To date, Plaintiff has not filed a response in opposition to Defendant's motion to dismiss, and the deadline passed long ago. Accordingly, Plaintiff is ORDERED TO SHOW CAUSE by October 9, 2018 at 5:00pm why the motion should not be granted, and this case dismissed, based on her failure to respond.
